Members of this guild focus on User Experience and User Interface design and implementation. Engineers in this speciality enjoy thinking about the humans in the room, visualizing work products, and designing and building delightful user experiences.

Data Engineering

Members of this guild focus on data, best practices for organizing, storing, using different types of data. Engineers in this speciality think about data as having a life-cycle, with a keen eye for data exhaust, and a love of visualization that exposes the value hidden in large swaths of data.

API Engineering

Members of this guild focus on API development. Engineers in this speciality enjoy learning about different services available on the internet and integrating with them. They have a keen eye for thinking about error conditions and how to manage them.

Site Reliability Engineering

Members of this guild focus on the Developer Experience, and automating as much of the operations of a system as possible. Engineers in this speciality enjoy automating everyday work, and finding & fixing problems when things go sideways. They often fein that Incident response is the bane of their existence, but if you watch you see that they live for that thrill of incident resolution. That time in which all of their planning and silent support becomes infinitely valuable.
