As we join you in your career journey, we want to recognize and celebrate key milestones with you. As you build your expertise we will issue certificates to recognize these key achievements.
Apprentice Candidate
Thinking about a second career but you don’t know anything about coding? Do you find it challenging to learn in a traditional classroom setting? Are financial constraints preventing you from making a change? Maybe the Agile Learning Institute is right for you… It all begins with a phone call with one of our mentors. Together we will see if you are a good fit for our free Apprenticeship Candidate program. Once approved, you will start an accelerated immersive program that will teach you everything you need to be ready for an entry level job in IT.
Apprentice Engineer
Apprentice engineers are qualified for entry level work in the field, and are actively working to build the full breadth of knowledge needed to be a well rounded engineer.
Expected Annual Salary: $75k - $95k
We have an accelerated, immersive program that can take you from Apprentice to Resident Engineer. You will complete the course as a well rounded engineer familiar with the breadth of specialities present on modern cloud native engineering teams.
Resident Engineer
As a resident engineer you have selected a specialty (UX/UI, API, Data, SRE) and provide engineering services on a team with those specialized skills. Members with Resident Engineer certifications have access to a group of peers that meet regularly to share challenges, solve problems, and celebrate accomplishments.
Expected Annual Salary: $90k-$125k
Associate Engineer
After working as a Resident for at least two years, completing at least three successful projects, and meeting speciality level qualifications you can be recognized as an Associate Engineer. Associate Engineers are eligible for complementary Mentor as a Coach training and are encouraged to take on an apprentice.
Expected Annual Salary: $120k-$180k
Senior Engineer
Associate engineers who successfully present a portfolio of no less than twelve successful projects to a board of their peers can be recognized as Senior Engineers within their speciality.
Senior Engineers are expected to be Mentoring at least one Apprentice on a weekly basis.
Selected Senior engineers are compensated to provide leadership and drive benefits to members of their speciality.
Expected Annual Salary: $140k-$230k
Distinguished Engineer
Senior engineers, with experience in multiple specialities, who successfully present a portfolio of successful projects to a board of Senior Engineers can be recognized as Distinguished Engineers.
Distinguished engineers are expected to devote a significant portion of their time to Mentorship.
Distinguished engineers can apply for grants that fund research and staffing to investigate promising ideas.
Expected Annual Salary: $220k+
How much does it cost?
There is no price….
There is no charge for joining the Institute, nor for coaching of eligible members. We are willing to invest in you, and we are confident that you will find value in the services we provide. We do ask that you make donations that reflect both your ability to contribute and the value you receive from membership.
Apprenticeship Scholarships
If you want to sponsor an apprenticeship, the best path is to become a Sponsorship Patron. That funding is critical in supporting our efforts to provide free services to all members.
Mentor Opportunities
Becoming a Mentor is a highly rewarding experience. We actually view mentorship skills as key to becoming a Senior level engineer. If you consider yourself to be a senior engineer in your speciality I would challenge you to ask who you are mentoring and how you are investing in other engineers building a career in IT.
